Standing with a sister organisation: Girls Ready to Lead
FKF shows its support at the launch of the I.B. Taylor-Kamara Foundation's initiative for young women's leadership.
If you can't support female leadership, then you've got no right to degrade it. That conviction took the Francis Koroma Foundation to the launch of Girls Ready to Lead, a new initiative from our sister organisation, the I.B. Taylor-Kamara Foundation.
The initiative sets out to prepare young women to step into leadership — building the confidence, skills and networks that too often reach girls last, and insisting that girls' safety and girls' leadership are the same conversation.
Supporting a sister organisation costs nothing and multiplies everything. The young women that Girls Ready to Lead reaches are the same young women our scholarships, mentorship and community work exist to serve, and the movement is stronger when its organisations show up for one another.
We congratulate the IBTK Foundation on the launch, and we look forward to what the initiative's first cohort will do.
