Internships

Students who run the work with us — in real roles, on the foundation's own operations, every summer.

About the programme

Paid and unpaid summer placements in real roles, running the foundation's own work.

Each summer the foundation takes on interns in real roles — public relations and media outreach, product engineering, software engineering — working on the foundation's own operations rather than shadowing them. Placements are both paid and unpaid.

In 2024 the foundation's donors funded two college internships outright. The 2026 cohort brought three: Kamuskay Kamara in public relations and media outreach, Osman Jalloh in product engineering, and Abdoulaye Alhassane Diallo in software engineering — a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar at Columbia, whose placement the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation made possible.

Over the past three years those students have come from five universities in Africa and the United States.
